In a sense, the end of "Tony Keats, Arch - Deceiver" is similar to the end of "Tickets, Please". Both actors asked the people they wanted to marry, but they were rejected by those they wanted to get married (Tony married Milly, but he did not marry Hannah or Unity). Some female characters have more power, but in either case men can maintain some degree of strength and dignity. All women are considered less important than men, and they all want to settle down with their husbands, but the men they care about are more interested in themselves. I think that the purpose of this author is to show how men are classified as women in society and have more power. I think how they want to show that men can control it regardless of how women control it.
