Have you ever thought about where all the wood products come from? What are all the trees you use when you build something in your backyard? Okay, I'm getting more and more interested in the logging industry recently. The woodcutter lifestyle is very interesting to me. I think the places they work are very attractive to the types of work they do. To be honest, I do not know where my interest is on this topic, but I know one thing that there is no difference in industry life in the community in which we live.
The first product we tried to do a few years ago was a log analysis tool (we hope to win Splunk). We enthusiastically conducted weeks of whiteboards, compare dozens of log analysis tools, and proposed functional matrices to understand what is on the market and what is not. We drafted a huge specification including a combination of all functions and any other innovation we can think of. I think that we lost momentum in three months when our forecast had to be launched for another three years. Learning here is better with a bigger vision, but you can narrow it down. As a SaaS startup, I do very well in one or more ways, rather than providing a solution to everyone
Log Analysis Initially, the syslog server did not perform log data analysis and provided a framework for logging and transferring log data. The administrator can analyze the system log data using another add-on. Some syslog implementations incorporate limited log analysis functions such as correlating multiple log entries. Event responses Some syslog implementations can initiate actions when certain events are detected. Examples of operations include sending an SNMP trap, alerting the administrator by page or e-mail, launching another program or script. You can also create a new syslog message indicating that an event has been detected.
