The documentary "Knight of Freedays" shows the story of a brave civil rights activist known as "Knight of Freediness" in 1961. They traveled south deep in the bus and train facing South American institutionalization and cultural acceptance. I will travel together to protest apartheid. They are determined to attract attention to the pursuit of civil rights with just good reasons They boarded the buses and trains and called themselves "free knights." Intentional violation of Jim Crow's law, Free Knight suffered racial discrimination and mob violence. It is a method. Still, they continue to ride, continue to find new ways to maintain and expand movement.
From May 6 th to 16 th, 2011, 40 college students from all over the US made use of the bus from Washington DC to New Orleans and confirmed the original route of free rider. In 2011, student freeride was sponsored by PBS and American Experience to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the original free ride. In the process students met with civil rights leaders and together with former freedom riders such as Ernest 'Rip' Patton, Joan Mulholand, Bob Singleton, Helen Singleton, Jim Zwerg, Charles Person etc I traveled. On May 16, 2011, PBS screened a documentary titled "Freedom Knight".
