An Exploration through Shojo and Shonen Manga through Sailor Moon and Black Cat

Whether this is intentional or not, the effect is obvious. Black cat attracts viewers who prefer to see violence without censoring, but Sailor Moon attracts people not involved in battle portrayal. The difference in battle time also plays a role of emphasizing the scene. On Maailor Moon's battle page there is a chapter that Black Cat used to fight. This emphasizes comic books trying to attract audiences who want to see more fights and other readers who prefer to reduce violence.

There are five kinds of manga. Children's cartoon (child), boys 'manga (boy), girls' cartoon (girls), youth comics (adult men), and ose comics (adult women). Because the range of boys 'manga and youth manga is too wide, I decided to investigate girls' comics and ose composition comics. Several cartoons for boys and girls belong to Junior Comics as boys like to read comics over girls. In addition, since juvenile manga usually contains adventurous content, not only boys read girls; therefore it is difficult to describe them as comics for boys or men only. As a result, the best-selling boys' comic magazine Weekly Shonen Jump recorded sales of 8 million copies, and 2007 magic comic magazine Ciao sold only 1 million copies. Girls' cartoons and Josei cartoons are easy to classify because they are classified only for female readers with stories similar to typical pictorial styles.

Manga is different in kind and widely used in Japan, but the four main types of cartoons that appeared after the Second World War and popular were boys manga, girls' manga, youth manga and redikomi cartoon (Schwatrz & Rubinstein- Avila 2006). These four main topics can be divided into five categories. Hobbies, professionals, sports pornography, pornography, and adults regardless of gender (Eng, 2010; Schwatrz & Rubinstein-Avila, 2006). Therefore, for this research, the most suitable cartoon for young people is boys and girls cartoon. And they are manga for 6-18 years old (welcome to the cartoon world, n.d.)

Josei cartoon is suitable for women, but suitable for adults. Josei cartoons are not much different from girls' cartoons, and girls' cartoons are somewhat different from boys' comics. The history of Castle West cartoons is also not much different from girls' cartoons. Because it targets adults, Josei cartoon is more realistic. Nana and Nodame Cantabile are good examples; unlike some superheroes in cartoons, Joseph's cartoon female characters fight for social life. Therefore, comparing girls' cartoons and Castle West cartoons will be interesting, as the artist attempts to balance the two types of reality and fancy in different ways.
