Five years ago, I was a 6th grade student. At that time I was confirmed as the most popular person at school. A year later, as the world matures, the situation began to change. The events that happened in my seventh grade summer changed my life. It also changed my view of life. I received a call from Mrs. Bell's teacher. She is the most patient, kind, and warm person I have ever seen. We had a brief conversation about school life, and she told me the news. I was selected to enter AVID 's first grade at Sullivan middle school among 180 students. I was proud of being shocked, but the first question I asked was "Why me?"
