In this paper, we introduce the results of research to examine how current social work education council and leaders of national social worker association think leadership in social work. A random sample survey of 75 dean heads, 75 managing directors, 75 managing directors and principals participated in a telephone survey using eight free response questionnaires. The findings identified leadership in social work occupations and explained that leadership in social work is different from other occupations. Participants identified the basic skills of social work leaders and clarified the mission of social work leaders in the 21st century.
