An Absurd Situation in an African Town of Oran in Albert Camus' Novel, The Plague

Dr. Liu is one of those who helped fight the plague. Bernard Rieux "About 35 years old, moderate height, dark skin, and tight black hair" (Galens 207). During the epidemic, Rieux was in charge of Oran's hospital, where he took care of the victims. He makes a long-term shift to treat the victims of the plague, but he can not do anything about it. "He knows that the fight against death is something that can not be won," but he does not have to make a fuss to do anything "(Galens 207).

Albert's "epidemic" is about a small town named Oran, infected with a strange illness. Dr. Bernand Rieux's job is to elucidate the cause of the disease and how to cure it. Initially, Dr. Rieux did not pay attention to the mouse, but the reporter Raymond Rambert asked Dr. Rieux to comment on this issue. Later, when Dr. Liu visited Mr. Michelle, he discovered that he is suffering from a strange illness that causes his body to swell. Because some other people are also suffering from this disease, the masses are starting to worry.

The first part of The Plague at Albert Camus is beginning to explain Oran, a large port of France on the coast of Algeria in Africa. This self-righteous town is constrained mainly by people interested in the business. Thousands of rats came out of the sewer and died, and suddenly interfered with the normal flow of the town. People in the town were happy to find the end of a disgusting mouse, but then they faced a more serious problem. A fatal fever hit the whole town. Government officials take a long time, but they declare plague status. Dr. Bernard Lee who recently broke up from his wife with another illness, was in charge of treating plague.

In the mid 1940's, Albert Camus started writing a novel "Pest". This story has been read over and over again, but that is not the only one. It tells a story of a small town that is suffering from a fatal illness and how the inhabitants will flourish to overcome it. Many people think that the battle between residents and plague is a fable of French occupation in Germany, but as critic Albert Makai said, "Simple things ... plague is a fable novel" True The meaning is not a fable. Albert Camus feels that life is a series of contradictions. He felt that humans tried to explain the world with "human terms". However, Kamu said, "The world can not explain it." 2. This absurdity is the same as the emptiness in our life, our existence becomes meaningless. 3 This belief extends throughout the novel, and the hero represents this belief.
