In the Amish world, children follow all Amish family traditions and church traditions. At the age of sixteen, Amish 's young people abandoned these traditions for months and years, then entered the "British" contemporary world, experiencing living outside the Amish community in a tradition called Rams pringa Did. Devils Playground is a documentary on the lives of Amish youth living in LaGrange County, Indiana. This movie represents a teenager who is known as Lams Pring in his lifetime. At the age of sixteen, Amish young people leave the world of Amish and can experience the modern world. Young people are baptized and maintain this lifestyle until they decide they are ready to formally become adults at Amish church. The concept of Rum Sorin is very controversial, many of them seem to disturb the outside world.
In the Amish tradition, Rumspringa celebrates an era where young people are 16 years old and can finally have a non-supervised weekend outside their home. In the meantime, they are encouraged to enjoy whatever they like, whether it is modern clothes or alcohol. The purpose of this period is to give Amish young people the opportunity to see and experience the world beyond their culture and growth experience. Thus, returning to their community and lifestyle is completely their choice. People who came back accepted baptism, became faithful members of Ams church and community, celebrated the end of Rumspringa (but they must do it by the age of 26)

When Amish culture teenagers become 16 years old, they are encouraged to pursue "Lumpuringa", the period of experiencing the British world, not limited to traditional amish. The purpose of this exposure is to provide life experience for young people outside the restricted Amish community and to really decide if they want to participate in the Amish church and its tradition or to live in the UK world. Meanwhile, Amish church parents and elders allowed children to become their own authority.
