The American Red Cross Nurse The American Red Cross (ARC) is a charitable humanitarian organization that provides compassionate service in five service areas: disaster relief, blood service, safety and health education and training, services to the military, service disaster relief service Has responded to approximately 70,000 disasters annually in the United States (American Red Cross, 2013 a). ARC is generating about 190 domestic fires per day in the United States. This is the most common disaster response in the United States (American Red Cross, 2013b).

The Red Cross is the same wartime charity as other North Carolina countries. Clara Barton, former civil war nurse and international philanthropist, established the American Branch of the International Red Cross in 1881. The mission of the Red Cross is to treat diseases injured in war and natural disasters. Prior to World War I, women of upper class entered the Red Cross, but as conflict broke out, the organization became a truly powerful force. As in many other states, North Carolina State established the state and First County Red Cross chapter in 1916. By the end of the war, North Carolina had 750 Red Cross branches and a supplementary facility with 250,000 members. Most of these volunteers come from the economic and social elite of the community. Burton became the chairman of the American branch of the association, and in May 1881 he was called the National Red Cross in Washington. The first chapter begins in northern New York where we have contact. Finally, John D Rockefeller and the other four donated money to help build a national headquarters near the White House. When Barton tried to establish a network of American branches and the World Red Cross, Frederick Douglas, a famous abolitionist and a friend of Clara Barton, provided advice and support. As a treaty register of the District of Columbia, Douglas also signed the former company charter of the American Red Cross.

Clarissa "Clara" Halo Barton (December 25, 1821 - 12 April 1912) was a pioneer nurse who founded the American Red Cross. She is a hospital nurse, teacher and patent clerk of the American Civil War. At that time, nursing education was not official and I did not attend nursing school, so I offered self-study care. Barton deserves humanitarian activity when relatively few women work outside the home. Burton was born on 25th December 1821 at North Oxford, Massachusetts. Burton 's father was Captain Stephen Burton, a member of the local militia, a chosen person who made her daughter motivated with patriotism and broad humanitarian interest.
