American Public Education

Until the 1970s, public schools in the United States were considered the best public schools in the world. Today, American schools are ranked as one of the lowest schools compared to the development of schools in Asia and Europe. Some students graduate from high school and do not know much about the core curriculum. For example, I started school in the United States in 12th and 8th grade and assigned to the University Preparation class despite English being my second language. Fortunately, I have the opportunity to travel and study in various countries such as Afghanistan, India, Yemen.

Many Americans think schools in the surrounding area have no problem, but most Americans have urgency in educational reform. Where did this concern for public education come from?
