Some poets use poetry to express emotions and opinions about the world. Even slaves named Philis Whitley wrote poetry, one of the most famous poets in her era, and in 1773 published "Various themes, religious, moral poetry".

Another earlier American writer, Washington Irving, was influenced by the native American supernatural power story. In famous stories such as "Legend of Sleeping Hollow" and "Lip Van Winkle", we combine the stories of American Indians with the story of the Netherlands and Germany to create a unique story about the supernatural world of nature It is. Later American writers such as Mark Twain, Emily Dickinson, Henry David Thoreau, Herman Melville, etc were influenced by Native American literature.
