Australia's homestay network thinks that the homestay program should provide more than a place to sleep and eat for foreign students. Each homestay experience should provide opportunities for students and host families to learn from each other, share interests, and lay the foundation for success in Australia.

First point - Reform the boarding system. Host families are students living in the western country with their host families for a short period (or long term). In theory, the host family will provide an immersive English environment and adult guidance to Chinese students. They go to high school for one or two years before going to college. However, host families are currently growing, not all homestay families provide individual care for Chinese customers. I know that several host families run homestay like Airbnb and have two or four Chinese students in one hotel. This will reduce opportunities for socialization for homestay families and encourage Chinese students to establish China's bubble as soon as possible.
