During the American Civil War, "more than 20,000 women in federal and southern countries were engaged in relief activities" (Schultz, 2004). These women have certain occupational rights and responsibilities through the civil war. They defeated the general tradition of Victoria and volunteered to become a civil war nurse, but it shocked the country (USAHEC.org). These fighting aids took care of the injured soldiers and carried out other duties to help soldiers. However, these women were not immediately accepted by hospital male doctors.

The American Civil War was well preserved in American history. However, this does not reflect the level of protection efforts against the global civil war. Other countries rarely hold their battlefield battlefield, one remarkable exception is the Battle of Britain's battlefield and the battle of Russia's preservation of Klikovo.
The American Civil War was advertised as one of the most bloody wars in world history. While most of the focus is on moral and political results, the civil war has affected every aspect of American life, including literature. Prior to the Civil War, American romanticism was rampant through the 1850s. And writers like Henry Melville and Nathaniel Hawthorne always worshiped this optimistic style. But Post America's literary style has undergone a significant change, moving towards a more realistic and somewhat cynical tone that can be found in Mark Twain's work. This change is mainly due to the atrocities of the civil war and the influence on the whole American society. To further study this polarization change, this article explores Hawthorne and Twain's work, especially 'Red Letter' and 'Huckleberry Finn Adventures'.
