America's Promise Alliance

The US commitment alliance is the largest network in the United States that is dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people. We have gathered over 400 domestic organizations and thousands of community leaders, concentrate national attention on the lives and voices of young people, pioneering research necessary to develop bold activities and young people to expand opportunities Lead. And accelerate adoption of strategies to help young people succeed. Our signature event, GradNation, helped to raise the nation's high school graduation rate to a record high. In the past 12 years, an additional 2 million young people graduated from high school.

In 2004, America's commitment - Youth League changed its name to the American commitment alliance and paid more attention to the strength of its alliance partner (see Alliance partner). The president summit developed into a commitment alliance of the United States, recognizing that the call for improving the lives of the youth of the United States will be a continuing effort far beyond the date of 1997. The name "American Commitment" comes from Dr. Martin Luther 's "I Have a Dream" speech, Dr. King compared the Constitution and Independence Declaration with promissory notes. When our republic architect wrote the grand words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they signed a memorandum of memorandum that all Americans would inherit. This memo is a promise that everyone, whether black or white, has force majeure to pursue life, freedom, and happiness.

Our alliance collaboration focuses on the five commitments we have to accomplish. These promises come from the organizational framework for the 1997 Presidential Summit, the US Commitment Alliance North Star, and hundreds of community efforts nationwide. American dreams are dangerous to many of our young people. In countries based on the Equal Opportunity Pledge, not all children equally opportunities. The American Commitment Alliance is committed to creating conditions for all children and young people to succeed - adults, safe places, healthy beginners, care about effective education and service opportunities. We recognize that historical and systematic inequality is creating obstacles that prevent too many young people from realizing American dreams.
