America's 100 Most-Loved Novels Were Just Announced. Did Your Favorite Make the List?

There is an easy and reliable way to be smarter: read more books. From Bill Gates to Elon Musk, many of the most respected entrepreneurs are greedy readers.

Taking a page from the CEO's book, you will find a way to read 100 books per year. But which books will be picked up first? Deciding what to read is itself an obstacle.

You can begin with the most popular novel in America. PBS has just released a new TV show called The Great American Read. The show celebrates that PBS is considered 100 of the most popular novels in the United States

In order to pick the top 100 novels, PBS studied thousands of people and asked them to list their favorite novels. They used opinion balloting service YouGov, which gathered responses from a group of statistically representative 7,200 Americans demographically.

Then PBS attracted 13 literary experts to delete the list based on several criteria. To increase diversity, each author has only one book on the list. The entire series - such as Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings - will be counted only as a book to keep the lists unchanged. As long as the book is written in English, you can come from anywhere in the world. Finally, all books must be fictitious

The list covers a wide range of headlines. Some of it dates back to the 17th century, others are published in the past few years. This is an interesting combination. Each type has something. You will find many literary classics and contemporary best sellers.
