America Must Lower the Drinking Age

The United States needs to reduce the age of drinking The current US drinking age is 21 years old. Some even think that they should increase their age to drink. On the other hand, many people believe that current drinking age is more problematic than prevention ("Cross Fire"). The United States has never tried to ban the law, but it has been done twice in the past. These laws were eventually abolished. This is because more lawsuits and difficulties ultimately resulted from failing to enforce and respond to these laws (Engs).

According to law, the age of drinking has been raised to 21 years, but minors usually drink alcohol in the United States. Legitimate drinking age in the United States should be reduced to 18 years old. It is because the 18 year old child has acquired the rights of many adults in our country. In the United States, 18 years old is considered "aged age". People of that age are allowed to vote for government elections and to carry out military service for their country. It is enough age to acquire a driver's license and purchase tobacco. They should also be allowed to buy and drink alcohol if an 18 year old child is considered mature enough to get these important rights.
