America & Me Essay contest: My Michigan Hero by Ella Locey

On Wednesday, the three winners of the 48th America and I Eassay Competition sponsored by the Agriculture Department insurance company were awarded.

Goodrich high school student Ella Locey, Miaya Tait, Taylor Thomas were awarded for their achievement. As the first winner of the school, the name of Locy is inscribed on the shield displayed in the office of the school.

The first article by Locke will participate in the state competition from which the top 10 articles of Michigan State will be elected

The definition of the word hero is a person who is admired or idealized by courage and outstanding achievements. In my case, my hero will be my father. He and my brother were there, I know more than anyone else.

My mother has been ill for a long time and has been in and out of the hospital for years. He is a family member at the present moment. He goes to work everyday and then comes back home to take care of my brothers, my mother and me. My mother died recently due to complications.

After my mother died, my father showed me and my brother except love and compassion. By doing this, he ensures that we know what we love more than ever.

As he is with us, it makes me realize that he can be not only my hero but also the one I can admire.

One of the many other reasons I admire my father is that he is very diligent. He graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in engineering. Currently, he works 60 hours a week in Chrysler's procurement / security department. Please do your work at home, on your computer or on your phone all day inside and outside the conference. My family and I always say that he will work like a dog!

Generosity is one of the many reasons I admire my father. He has helped many friends and family in many ways. For example, in the past few months, my father went directly to a friend's store from work. He worked there for hours after work and was doing their help there. He made shelves, tables and so on. He is doing this for free. He is still teaching basketball in his spare time. He taught my brother, Ben and his team for nearly five years. It is the same as my younger brother, Jack. He has led him and his team for about three years and is still training them. It shows me that you can not only generously own your property but also be generous.

From hard work to a single father, he gave me a lot of love, courage, generosity, and compassion.
