Amenhotep IV

Amenhotep IV ruled the country peacefully between the new Kingdom of Egypt. The Egyptian enemy Hyksos has been removed from control and Egypt is prospering. Indeed, she became an empire. Amenhotep IV was born around 1370 BC. His parents are Pharaoh Amenhotep III and Queen Tia. Amenhotep IV was brought up in the traditional way of Egypt. He learned all the skills Pharaoh needs to know. Later, Amenhotep IV married a beautiful woman named Nefertiti. She is considered to be the most beautiful and powerful woman in Egypt. After marriage, Amenhotep IV has six daughters across Nefertiti. King Tutankhamen is his son, another wife, care, and his sister. Amenhotep IV was one of the deeply controversial Pharaohs who dominated Egypt. He led Egypt as he called him "pagan pharaoh." He ruled in the Amarna period. His rule began around 1382 BC. Akhenaten believes only in one god, Arden. To commemorate his god Amenhotep IV called himself Akhenaten. During the reign of Akhenaten, other gods were exiled. Only the god of the sun is worshiped

In the fourth year of his reign, Amenhotep IV decided to transfer the capital to Akhetaten (modern Amarna). In his fifth year, Amenhotep IV officially changed his name to Akhenaten, and since then Nefertiti has been called Neferneferuaten-Nefertiti. Renaming shows increasing importance for Atten's worship.
