Alternative Sentencing: Money Well Spent

Despite economic losses, Florida is losing war with drugs. The economic impact of drug abuse in Sunshine is estimated to be about 6% of the state's gross domestic product (Miami 20). "By using alternative sanctions in the state of Maryland, the annual cost of criminals has been reduced from $ 20,000 to $ 4,000."

Alternative decisions will help communities and criminals. Nationally, the criminal justice system is overloaded with drug-related incidents. Taxpayers pay millions of dollars to imprison criminals. In some cases imprisonment is necessary to ensure public safety, bringing nonviolent criminals to prison only sacrifices the community in the long term without having to deal with poisoning . Most importantly, drug rehabilitation will give you the opportunity to dig into the causes of poisoning, heal past wounds and repair broken relationships with partners, children, friends or employers.
