Fossil fuels are compounds of hydrogen and carbon, such as petroleum, coal, natural gas, and are produced by organic residues of ancient organic matter. They cause pollution by releasing hazardous compounds from the atmosphere throughout the combustion process. Complete combustion means that hydrocarbons burn in air with enough oxygen to convert carbon to carbon dioxide. There is also incomplete combustion, it burns in oxygen-deficient air. If there is not enough oxygen, carbon will turn into carbon monoxide.
Fossil fuels are nonrenewable energy sources. We use many examples of fossil fuels in our daily lives. In fact, most of the energy we consume is fossil fuels. Coal, oil and natural gas are all considered fossil fuels. Many years ago, especially during the Carboniferous period, forests were destroyed and fossilized due to atmospheric changes and other changes. These trees and other vegetation will rot and decompose as a result of bacteria and other microorganisms on the surface of the earth. These trees can be used for many years in solid, liquid, and gaseous conditions. The solid is coal. It is the most widely used fossil fuel for home use.
We depend on fossil fuels because we use them almost exclusively in our daily lives. Even though I have not thought about it, I use fossil fuels every day from moving cars to airplanes or just using the "iPhone".
