Rae Gouirand's first poetry collection "Open Winter" was selected by Elaine Equi as the 2011 Bellday Award and received the 2012 Poetry Independent Press Book Award and the 2012 Eric Hoffer Book Award. California Poetry Prize. Her new work has recently appeared in American poetry reviews, VOLT, Brooklyn, Rumphus, California poetry, New South, Hobart, ZYZZYVA, Barrow Street, [PANK] Online, and closeup review of The Inflectionist's excellent poet . Rae Gouirand is the author of two collections, Open Winter (Bellday Books, 2011), Glass is Glass, Water is Water (Spork Press, to be held in October) and is the Apple essentials chapter (winner). The Oro Fino Chapbook competition held by Educe Press this summer. Her poetry is found in American poetry reviews, Beloit's poetry magazines, conjunctions, insanity, diodes, dozens of idols, reviews of Michigan Quarterly, 嚣嚣, warm green linden, ZYZZYVA, other magazines and collections nationwide I will. She hosted several long-term poems and essay seminars in northern California and also lectured online at UC Davis English Department.

AS: Chang Rae Lee said "Competency is very high". Well, I am studying another very capable novel, but that has no life. I was reading a poem - the poet made me free - so I went to see some poems When I returned to the desk I found the first chapter of cute bone I wrote. This is a writer's prayer. You are just a voice channel. AS: For me, heaven will lack sense of alienation. Through my growth, I feel comfort is evil. For me, heaven is not about sofas and milkshakes, nor is it an uneasy thought. In contrast to a dazzlingly comfortable place, I gave Susie a place for investigation, a place where she can come to understand the world and people in her life.
