John Taylor Gut's "oppose school" depicts a very pathological picture of the American school system. Gatto's explanation about the school system sounds more like an explanation of a prison or sweet shop than a school. He insists that the school is not a place for children to learn, grow and prosper. Instead, he believes the school is aiming to oppress the children; they lose their human nature, limit their growth and become adults. Some of Gato's criticisms are fair. He thinks boring one of the main problems of the school system, whether it is a student or a teacher. According to personal experience, he wrote that the teacher did not want to go there, not to mention the teaching materials that they taught, and this uninteresting thing also flowed to the students. Got believes I think that it is right, this phenomenon causes students to become more like learning and growing than robots and inhumanization.
The main point raised by Gatto in his article "anti-school" is that public school education makes young people unfair. One of the most thorough ways he did this was to analyze his criticism of the three goals of education, and more specifically the third goal of public school education. It is unique. In opposition, Gut believes that instead of doing so, the organization teaches us how to become a good employee and disappoints us. Gatto thinks school education should be managed in various ways; it does not suppress genius "mud like generals"
In his article "Affecting Schools", John Gato believes public education weakens American children in various ways in life. Gut argues that compulsory education is a mistake in our national education system. He pointed out that this school is actually a laboratory that tests young people and drilling facilities to satisfy the customs and attitudes that society needs. "There is a good reason to think of our school - their long-term, cell block, compulsory students and teachers - as a childish virtual factory (Gatto, Against School)
