Carlos Moore and Abdias do Nascimento are excellent scholars and activists. Moore is an ethnologist and political scientist who acquired two PhD degrees at a famous university in Paris, France. He was banished from his native Cuba for thirty years. Nascimento is a famous African-American Brazilian scholar and an artist. He is considered to be the historical leader of the black movement in Brazil. Their work has made a great contribution to the society of Brazil and Cuba. Born in Cameroon, Yaounde, Wilglory is a writer, scholar, activist of social justice. She majored in African-American studies at Princeton University and received a certificate of African studies.
