African American Limitations from 1865-1900

Please explain how freely the African-Americans are socially, politically and economically between 1865 and 1900.

Since African Americans can not vote, they can not choose officials. Caucasians use literacy tests and head taxes to prevent voting. They also can not participate in the election or become a jury and make it impossible to express opinions to the community and the government.

Due to the lack of housing and money, the Black Code usually allows for the arrest of poor unemployed people, usually African Americans. This particular period in history is one of economic struggles. Because of this economic struggle, Caucasians further attacked African Americans through the Krk-Clakes clan and black code. Africans are often not hired by a high salary job and most are very poor. Because they are not educated enough, it is difficult to find a job.

African-Americans can not vote, own land, possess weapons, and are separated from community white people by the Jim Crow law. They can not marry a white man or travel without a license

From 1865 to 1900, African Americans had limited social freedom. Social constraints are constraints related to "how society and people interact with each other" as defined in the curriculum.
