Aeneas and His Ghosts

Virgil's Aeneid Aeneas handles this supernatural interference. All of these are focused on the goal of Aeneas' creation of Rome and its people. Throughout the book, Aeneas is a true "haunted house" person facing ghosts, gods, even destiny, all of which try and motivate his choice. I reserved a shadow at the end of the two Aeneids - Aeneas and his family lost their city, and now Aeneas also lost his wife Creusa. When they ran away from the burning city, they parted, and Aeneas searched her only to meet her ghosts. Creusa's ghost predicts "Kingdom and royal bride" (2.1057) for Aeneas in "Hesperia where Lydian Tiber flows" (2.1054). In a sad scene, based on Odysseus' efforts to accept the mother's shadow at the Odyssey, Virgil wrote:
