Here, young people share advice on medicine and alcohol to other young people. They want to tell others what they have learned - sometimes through difficult personal experiences
Young people can not emphasize the importance of recognizing that you are indeed in a very weak position under the influence of drugs and alcohol. They say that you are with your trusted friends and are sure to pay attention to each other.
Young people emphasize that personal problems can not be solved with drugs and alcohol. People explain how their problems exist and wait for them when they are no longer tall or drunk. Some people feel that drugs and alcohol make life more difficult. Please do not make me feel sick.
If a friend drinks medicine and does not want to do this, you can say "no" to drugs and alcohol. Some young people noticed that they refused to drink or to use medicine for respecting their friends. If you are building a good relationship with your parents, talk to them about the pressure you face. The surrounding of other drug users may make it difficult for people who wish to stop using drugs
Please learn about your medicine from reliable sources before doing anything. There are many organizations that can provide you with all the (secret) information and advice you need (see our Resources section for details)
Among the young people we interviewed, I deeply regret that I did not do my best at school for the use of drugs and alcohol. Having the goals and things they really like helps them change their lives. Learn to drink moderately
Among young people, the use of alcohol and medicine may be a matter of substance use. This means that they have strong demand and desire for alcohol and medicine. This desire may make it difficult for them to control how much alcohol or medicine they use, making them hard to stop. So they know they are causing problems in their lives but they continue to use alcohol and medicine. If you think your child is using alcohol or medicine, one of the most important things you can do is to speak to him or her honestly and sincerely. Encourage your child to do the same. This may be a difficult conversation. Please do not use harsh judgment. Please support as much as possible. Tell your child that you are at your age and understand how difficult it is to say "no" when someone supplies alcohol or medicine

You may not see alcohol as a medicine, but it is a psychoactive substance that affects the ability of your body to act and make decisions. You can soak in alcohol. It is one of the most used medicines for young people, and it is probably one of the most devastating medicines. It is also a medicine chosen by Australians of all ages. In addition, when young people start drinking, the risk of alcohol-related problems occurring early in adulthood and thereafter will be higher. Young people who started drinking before 15 years old are four times more likely to develop alcoholism than young people who did not start drinking by the age of 21.
