Advantages of Free Software

Private software does not benefit humans and informatics. Instead it leads to a system application that is less secure, expensive and inaccessible. Mr. Stallman devised a free software defense campaign. This is an interesting topic motivated to convert all computer users and developers free software that can be freely modified and distributed. Free software brings many benefits to informatics and users.

"Free software" means software that respects freedom of users and communities. Broadly speaking, this means that the user freely executes, copies, distributes, investigates, modifies and improves the software. Therefore, "free software" is a matter of freedom, it is not a matter of price. To understand this concept, "freedom" should be considered "freedom of speech" rather than "free beer". We sometimes call it "libre software" and we freely "free" in French or Spanish. This indicates that the software is not saying that it is free. As anyone deserves these freedoms, we fight for these freedoms. Through these freedoms, users (whether individual or collective) can control the program and the work it does on the program. If the user is not managing the program, we call it "non-free" or "proprietary" program. Non-free programs control users, developers control programs; this makes the program a tool for unreasonable power

The definition of free software qualifies as a specific software program as a free software standard. From time to time, modify this definition, clarify it, or resolve the problem with subtle problems. For a list of changes affecting the definition of free software, see the "History" section below.
