INTRODUCTION Every year thousands of Americans are perplexed by the accident. Therefore, researchers are now studying ways to help paralyzed patients perform daily tasks and help control their lives. To bring about exercise to people who can not do this at the moment can be done in several ways. Recently, the robot arm was made by the Chicago Rehabilitation Association. And it was placed on the shoulder of the limb amputee and acted by monitoring the subject nerve impulse.
Researchers are working on the development of BCI technology to provide abundant natural prosthesis control signals and FES devices to revitalize their arms to upper limb paralyzed people. In this study we used electroencephalogram (ECoG) electrodes connected to neurons of the cerebral cortex (part of the brain responsible for higher thinking and motor control) to measure brain activity. Participants learn how to control computer cursors, virtual reality environments, and auxiliary devices such as hand tools and FES devices, using the neural activity recorded by ECoG sensors.
In recent years, it has been proposed to reconfigure nerve fibers to control complex robot arms (see "Realistic prosthetic arms"), brain interfaces enabling complex mind control ("Brain supports movement of limbs" ). However, for all these advances, the prosthesis can not send sensory information to the wearer, it is more difficult to complete the task of picking up an object without collapsing the object or losing the grip .
But what about the prosthetic device itself? Even if you are a new limb amputee, even if you are using a prosthetic system for many years you may not be aware of all the recent exciting progress in prosthetic development. Dramatic progress in new materials, new electronics products, new treatments
Prosthetic devices have changed significantly over time due to advances in technology, materials and design. Prior to the 20th century many people were unable to purchase professionally manufactured prosthetics so they used their own materials to make their own prosthetic equipment. This is the origin of the word "nail leg". 476-1000 (Middle Ages) - People who have the ability to install them are common about legs and hooks. Normally, knights are equipped with prosthetic brace for fixing shields and stables, but its function is not important. In the meantime, more and more businessmen are manufacturing prostheses. For example, people making watches often use gears and springs to give more detailed functionality to arms and arms.
