Mary Care Center Torrance Providence Small Company, the nation's highest quality hospital for patient and patient safety, plans to invest about 80 million dollars to establish a new advanced care center in South Bay. The new center will provide important services including a multidisciplinary cancer center, orthopedic spine laboratory, and a breast center for women in Hope City.

Children's Hospital is one of the largest pediatric medical centers in the United States and offers a range of healthcare services to children from birth to 21 years of age. Its advanced fetal care center can begin intervention for 15th week of gestation, and in some cases for adults (eg congenital heart disease or strabismus). The facility has 40 medical departments and 225 specialized clinical programs. The hospital clinical staff has about 1,026 active medical staff and dental staff, 384 related science staff, 922 residents, researchers and interns, 1,596 full-time nurses, and about 9,000 Other full-time and part-time employees are included. More than 800 volunteer trained teams spend thousands of hours a year to support hospital staff and patients. Built in 1994, the 87-bed Hasbro Children's Hospital offers a variety of pediatric services and programs, and is a designated burning center for American Burn Association and American College of Surgeons. There is the only pediatric emergency and first-class trauma center in southeast New England, as well as the only pediatric diagnostic and sedation center, food allergy center and pediatric intensive care unit, and ambulance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
