Adult artistic learning The motivation and purpose of adult artistic learning providers and participants are diverse. Adult educators seeking to promote transformational learning play an imaginative role in developing new perspectives; they show how art engages in the imaginative exploration of adults themselves and their worlds In adult literacy education, analysis of painting and poetry can be a means of cultivating visual and linguistic insight, critical thinking and aesthetic judgment (Dreybus 2000; Kazemek and Rigg 1997).

Malcolm Knowles may be regarded as the founder of adult learning. He contrasts the concept of "andragogy, meaning" with the art and science that helps adults learn, "... education to help children learn, art and science" (Merriam & Caffarella, 1999, p. 272). Knowles' initial investigation and writing arises from the assumption that there are significant and discernable differences between adult learners and learners under 18 years of age. According to Knowles, these differences are mainly related to adult learners with more voluntary and rich experience and in-house motivational learning topics that can be applied immediately. Especially "Learning task closely related to development" of my social role "(p.272)

The learning style of children is different from adult learning style, which is the main prerequisite for adult learners. Not only that adults have a more complex mental model (see "Art of interpretation"), adults learn fundamentally in different ways. Our brain neurology has changed and we have not formed the number of new neural connections we made since young. But more importantly, we have developed a filter that will help us learn what we have learned so far. Somewhere, we got lots of information, the switch turned over and we started filtering what we learned. (For more information on the world of overinformation we currently have, look at the information diet and the organized idea.) To make us more discerning consumer information switch Put in. We learned something that we do not need to know, not learning everything. It is not necessary to know the number of atoms in the gas at standard pressure. Andragogy is the art and science of adult education based on a series of core premises on the causes and methods of adult learning. The first assumption is that adults are voluntary (Knowles, 1984). Therefore, adults learn best if the learning process is voluntary, not focusing on the traditional dependent educational environment. Second, adults can learn more learning experiences and extensive experience (Knowles, 1984). Third, the development of adult roles plays an important role in promoting adult learning (Knowles, 1984). For example, when a person gets older and takes on a new role, such as a care provider, for a child or elderly parent, the individual needs to learn new skills. The fourth hypothesis is that adult learning is directly related to adult development, so the focus of adult learning is to solve the problem or do a new work (Knowles, 1984).
