The kinds of illegal substances and their drugs are narcotics, alcohol, barbiturates, cocaine, cracks, amphetamines, flutinogen, marijuana, analgesics. Some of these drugs are legitimate, but if they are used or abused in the wrong way, they become illegal substances. The biggest drug problem in our area seems to be related to marijuana. Even if it is illegal in the United States, this drug is easily discovered and used worldwide. These drugs can be used and used in various types of forms.
Drug abuse and poisoning are becoming fashionable. Many children - even when they are young - there is the possibility of ingesting toxic substances, illegal drugs and alcohol. The use of these substances can cause problems such as violence, criminal behavior, teenage pregnancy, lowering interest in education. People who seriously abuse drugs may drop out of school or interfere with daily living. This social problem can be better managed through a structured and supportive environment whether at home or at school.
Drug abuse and addiction are complex health and social problems. Substance abuse is inappropriate and harmful use of prescription medicines, marketing medicines, supplements, alcohol and all other substances. Addiction to substances includes uncontrollable factors, factors considered chronic recurrent disease. AAFP promotes society without alcohol, drugs, and substance abuse. AAFP strongly urges Member States to participate in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of substance abuse, addictive disease, and secondary diseases associated with its use. Education to address all aspects of these complex diseases, including the knowledge and use of evidence-based strategies, should be a clear part of the home and home medicine home curriculum.
