Adapting Game of Thrones to a Boardgame

What is the successful adaptation from one medium to another? In this case, the theme will be a power game. Introduce the basic elements of the story and understand how they are applied to new media. These five elements are characters, plots, themes, settings, and conflicts. The medium I chose was to convert it to a game, especially I watch a power game, a Boardgame with 3 players (now called GOT) and an HBO base (HBO) card game I guess.
