What is faith? The author of the letter to the Hebrews defines the definition of faith in the Bible by stating that in Hebrews 11: 1, "It is the essence of what faith wishes now, there is no evidence of things" is showing. In addition, faith is the premise of hope and love. "Now these three are still faith, hope and love ... (1 Corinthians 13: 13). So in a sense faith is to believe in something and to possess other things So, in order to have the Bible faith, someone must believe in. In the second half of Luke 6: 45, he says: His heart is full of rich heart. "So, as you tell Romans 10: 9, repent of the Lord Jesus in your mouth, if you believe that your heart has raised him from death you will be saved." "So salvation is synonymous with faith.
Faith, hope, love is also called theological virtue. The Christian life - our response to God and his new work in us - arises from faith, hope and love. Everything we do as a Christian is related to these three virtues They all have the desire, expectations, aspirations that will be fully realized when the glory of Christ returns.
The virtue of "cardinal" is different from the three theological virtues. Faith, hope, charity (love) named 1 Corinthians 13. Now these three still exist: faith, hope, and love. But among them, the biggest one is love. For this reference, a set of seven attributes is sometimes listed by adding four basic virtues (attention, temperament, tenacity, righteousness) and three theological virtues (beliefs, hope, charity). Together they constitute seven virtues. The first four dates back to Greek philosophers and applies to all people seeking moral life, but theological virtues seem to be specific to Christians written by Paul in the New Testament.
