In etymology, access is defined as a way to approach, arrive, or enter a place as the right or opportunity to arrive, use or access. In healthcare, access is always defined as access to a service, provider, or institution and is therefore defined as the opportunity or ease that consumers or communities can use the appropriate services in proportion to their needs. Access is conceptualized in various ways.
