Academic English: Writing Specialization

The skills taught in this program will allow you to succeed in any university course or discipline. You will learn how to conduct rigorous academic research and express your ideas in academic form. In the final Capstone project, all knowledge learned in these courses will be academic papers on the chosen event ultimately.

You will use this information in this course to make your sentences even better. In this course we will learn all about writing scientific papers, especially writing three kinds of papers: comparison / contrast, reason / result, and discussion. This is the third course of academic English Writing. This is a more advanced writing course. It will help you improve your writing and will give you better understanding of the type of sentences the university expects. Learn how to use plain MLA references to avoid plagiarism, what is plagiarism. In addition, you will learn to write comprehensive papers that will help you to develop your critical thinking skills. Finally, you will write paper with paper that will help you further improve your skills in using external resources in your writing.

This is the first course of academic English: writing. This will help you prepare for studying abroad at a university or college in the United States. This first course will introduce some of the basics of grammar and punctuation. It is not intended to examine all aspects of English grammar, but only a few topics chosen for this course.
