As long as her skills proves that she is a versatile nurse specializing in patient well-being, the nurse should be reliable. Instead, doctors allow themselves to use their power to properly prevent them. "Confidence affects the effectiveness of collaboration, paradoxically, some people are not confident for bluffs or power" (Lindeck, 2005). There is no reason for nurses to be abused as doctors can guarantee their work is done correctly.
Oral and physical abuse at healthcare organizations continues to occur, with some headings. In the event of abuse, the nurse is responsible for providing professional and ethical responsibility to the patient. There are many reasons to accept or ignore illegal acts such as ignorance, fear of retaliation, necessity of acceptance from fellows, concerns about individual progress. Nurses need to ponder their prejudices before truly respecting patient autonomy. By examining the cases of reported patient abuse, the need to change the culture of the hospital became clear. The main step in eliminating patient abuse is to open up communications, provide education, build capacity, eliminate tolerance for unacceptable behavior, and develop guidelines for mutual respect. Changing culture to mutual respect and dignity between staff and patients will lead to the best results for all stakeholders.
It is becoming increasingly important to integrate care of mental, behavioral and psychosocial issues into primary care. Many patients receive primary care and try to reduce the physical symptoms associated with mental, behavioral, and psychosocial problems. Or, the disease may cause depression, stress or other behavioral health problems. These problems bring acute and chronic challenges to busy practices. Mental or substance abuse disorders require careful follow-up and adjustment of evidence-based treatment to achieve clinical goals. Patients with acute heartaches, upset, even even violence often appear in primary care. If there is no established expertise in behavioral medicine, primary care providers and staff are often not ready to meet the needs of these patients, and it may be necessary to suspend the clinic's schedule and seek emergency assistance I do not.
