Abstract Liberalism

According to the famous sociologist Eduardo Bonilla-Silva, charges of four major racists were rejected today. One is called abstract liberalism. This idea is related to the other three and is the most important. Liberalism and conservatism are not liberalism. It uses equality ideas with liberal elites to justify the social consequences of racial discrimination. For example, people say that positive actions are not a good idea, since positive actions create an unequal footing that makes colored people unfair advantage. This view clearly ignores the history of the United States. In all aspects of American history, people of color have always been the subject of inequity in Caucasian life. The most obvious is Jim Crow, slavery. Today, we see housing discrimination, excessive imprisonment, occupational discrimination, school inequality discrimination, inequal wages, and only a small suppression system. The abstract liberal opinion needs to completely ignore American history in order to function. Instead, the white verdict on color suppression ends with a civil rights movement. This is certainly not the case. Racial discrimination changed to suit our era. It is clear that justice rather than equality needs to end racial discrimination.

Abstract liberalism is "thought on political liberalism and economic liberalism" (28). Since abstract liberalism is being used for a wide range of problems, Bonilla-Silva shows several different examples of using this framework. When asking white students, "Whether to provide a unique opportunity for minorities to enter university," please use racial discrimination under the name of an equal opportunity (31). Bonilla-Silva insists that these Caucasians "ignore the impact of past and modern discrimination on the social, economic and educational circumstances of the minority" (31). Autonomous approach, "should not be forced": to maintain the true appearance of things, excuses for personal choice or racial injustice, and ethnic choice

In the framework of abstract liberalism, using an idea often related to liberalism, such as "equal opportunity", "elite rule", "personal effort", in an abstract and contextual way I will explain inequality. For example, young white female college students are asked if they should offer their own opportunities for minorities to attend university. Student responses ignore social, economic and educational conditions of past and modern discrimination against minorities. Impact. Therefore, by saying that "they should have the same opportunity as others," students maintain racial inequality in education while maintaining her nonracist image.

Summary Liberalism is attributed to all those who have political liberalism and economic liberalism. Having political liberalism means that everyone has equal opportunities. Even when the minority is considered to have superiority, no matter how small this superiority is regarded as unfair to other people. Because it is inevitable, naturalism is the spirit of racism or ethnic friction. To some extent, it allows white people to see racial friction as "a way to things". The structural problem arising from this idea is that it tends to favor its own ethnic group. Even if this is against the ideal of color vision abnormalities, people tend to regard "like us" as a natural tendency.
