It can be said that Abraham Lincoln is one of the best presidents of American history. He served only for five years but served as president in the worst period of American history. Because of the severity of the decision, he made many people impossible; he released the American slaves. This informed him as a "great liberator". His nickname was accurate as it was a big decision to shape the future of America. This decision should be made long ago and he must make sure that prosperity does not need to deal with slavery issues separating the government.
The first two years of the war ended in a stalemate. But when Abraham Lincoln signed the Liberation Declaration, war changed personality and made abolishment of slaves a clear goal of war. As the war progressed, Lincoln was increasingly looking at the slavery destruction as the only way to maintain an alliance. Five days after the league won the Antitta, President Lincoln issued a preliminary release declaration. The final version was released on January 1, 1863 and released slaves from the rebels. Ironically, slavery is still protected by the Constitution of the United States in states that are faithful to the United States. The imminent issue is that slaves released after liberation may regain slavery after the war unless freedom is immediately reconfirmed. Lincoln claimed that the solution to this problem was Article 13 of the Constitutional Amendment ratified in 1865, which was a complete abolition of slavery throughout the United States.
Under this excuse, Abraham Lincoln signed the Liberation Declaration. The declaration released slaves, but only in the South. In other words, the law releases only slaves that are not considered law. This announcement aims to accelerate the war by driving southern slaves, rebel the southern economy and destroy it. But the abolitionists believe that this declaration is not enough. They want to see the nation abolish slavery. Then during the last few months of Lincoln 's life he passed the thirteenth revision that was done, but later the abolitionist thought he would not go too far.
Abraham Lincoln's drafting handwritten draft on July 22, 1862, the preliminary release declaration is part of Abraham Lincoln's paper at the Congress library. Francis Bicknell Carpenter, the artist, imagined that President Lincoln would submit his documents to the cabinet for the first time at 1864 painting 'First Reading Emancipation Declaration'. In 1864, Carpenter worked at the White House for several months and could consult with President Lincoln for observation. For more information on this picture, please visit the US Senate website.
