Abraham and Odysseus Abraham and Odysseus are two people from two different eras, but they all share a common goal. The common purpose of connecting these two people is to reach the final destination of whether Odysseus went to their hometown or whether Abraham went to the promised land of God. Regardless of whether it is arrogant to the God of Odysseus or contempt for God's will by Abraham, they all suffered with their own responsibility. After the two struggled in the streets and faced many difficulties, they all faced their own way of making mistakes, and in the end they finally got some important courses that successfully achieved their goal I learned.
The protection that God and Athena gave for Abroham and Odysseus for many journeys shows how they act as benefactors. Athena and God are always there to watch Abraham and Odysseus and to prevent them from hurting them. God helped Abraham in war and conquered the land for its descendants. Athena helped Odysseus through the Trojan horse war and eventually helped him defeat the chase, but he finished his long journey home. God and Athena are always looking for their loyal followers, and they always keep them when they need it. God said to Abraham, "Do not be afraid, Abram, I am your shield, your reward is great" (Genesis 15.1). God is here to protect Abraham. He looked at him as his father saw his son. Like God, Athena is a shield of Odysseus. Even if he does not know, Odysseus was always there. Both God and Athena guarantee that Abraham and Odysseus will not suffer any harm.
Although God and Athena may appear similar to Abraham and Odysseus, many believe that Abraham and Odysseus will deal with their gods in quite different ways. Abraham respects God and is faithful, then Odysseus respects Athena and is loyal to him. Odysseus seems to have a more personal and equal relationship with Athena. Indeed, Odysseus is often called Odysseus God and symbolizes equality between Gods. When Odysseus saw Athena, he was happy to face the followers:
Although both God and Athena helped Abraham and Odysseus, one of the main differences between the two gods was how they presented themselves. Athena appeared in many different human forms to guide Odysseus. I think that she is fit for Mentor, Mainhes, and several other roles. Let's say the voice of God speaks directly to Abraham in the Bible. Abraham is undoubtedly to obey God's orders. When God wants to test Abraham's loyalty, he talks to him. God's elegant tone suggests that Abraham's relationship is not as personal as Odysseus or Athena. Unlike Athena, God never appears before Abraham in any form. Thus, Athena seems to have more personal relationship with Odysseus. Because they can interact with fewer threats. God and Abraham have a close relationship, but in most cases God is still "above" Abraham. God does not really go with Abraham, but Athena is with Odysseus.
