When I wrote an article about documentary on male rights movement (red pill) I was accused of being biased due to male privileges. The first thing we notice is that this documentary was made by a woman who included an interview of a woman who participated in the feminist movement and changed her perception of the issue of male rights. So it seems that prejudice of my male privilege is not too easy. (By the way, women who made this documentary have also been condemned by feminist.) To criticize the concept of male privilege, I can say that there is a conflict of interest because I am a man. Some people think that this will reduce my credibility. My men 's privileges are distorted to me. However, if a male's privilege has privileges leading to prejudice of a man, this could lead to prejudice among women as well. It can be said that women's depreciation gives women a distorted view.
It reminds me of a documentary as a film production model and which categories it belongs - closed or open. The traditional premise of documentary is essentially to provide real information and insight into reality. Therefore, the documentary is regarded as an open form through its own design. However, most documentaries have very closed elements through the presentation of stories, or sometimes tactically ignoring audiences, by the supervisor's ability to build stories and give moral decisions. As price wrote here, there are few documentaries created behind any form of prejudice, taking Michael Moore 's highly appreciated Bowling For Columbine (2002) as an example.
