Folch Studio was founded in 2004 by Albert Folch. After studying graphic design in Barcelona, Albert joined Base Design where he gained a wealth of knowledge about the administration studio. At Base, he began working as a freelancer and eventually prospered in Folch Studio. Albert is also one of the founder of the ubiquitous Apartmento magazine. Speak with Folch Studio about design space, how to manage early editorial design and the five in-house brands in the studio. The interview was held in August 2017 by Emmy Forss Koski, Vincenzo Angileri, Albert Folch of Folch Studio by e-mail.
When I talked about studio meetings, recording contracts, trading artists, and emotions with legends in the studio, we stood in the corridor of the music department and it felt like an hour. I just moved to pursue music in downtown Chicago, so he insists on every word as he is studying music. "Now we do not have to work with anyone," he said. "But all of you have an appointment, please believe, I have never heard a voice like you," he said. "Now is the time to make you a producer, the key to Cole here is meaningful, to believe better."
The intuitive music city design itself does not build a community. Music City's studio manager Jaemi Fortier reminds me of the basement, the physical space of the same rehearsal studio, monthly messy tenants and stops. The band leaves cash fee under the amp and everyone will clean the room every few days. It will take years to integrate reliable service and original space into the center that maintains the network of musicians. About the Music City project I got a visit to Jocelyn Kane, Executive Director of the San Francisco Entertainment Board, in order to get external opinions. In addition to accommodating rich mines, she explained that music cities hoped to build venues and clubs that can only be used in limited cities of the city. Her office was full of music posters and concert fees, and she took me through several places.
