Background / meaning: Differences between generations are topics in nursing literature. Differences between generations can lead to conflicts between generations, and current research is related to reducing group unity, which can lead to an increase in population migration. In the literature on differences between generations, differences in occupational ethics are often quoted as the root cause of conflict, but few studies have identified and understood the differences between generations of nurses' occupational ethics. Specific objective :) We will create a professional ethics profile for each of the three generations of caregivers working in the hospital setting of emergency medical facilities. Determine differences in occupational ethical aspects of several generations of nurses in acute care. METHODS: A multidimensional professional ethics profile (MWEP) was completed by quantitative and quasi-experimental cross-sectional studies of registered nurses (RN) hospitalized in two educational hospitals in the southern metropolitan area of ​​the United States. MWEP measures seven dimensions of occupational ethics. Independence, ethics / ethics, leisure, diligence, work center, delay in satisfaction, waste of time. Data analysis: Analysis of the average score of seven dimensions of labor ethics and total score at each stage using eight one way ANOVA analysis. Results: Only the dimensions of leisure, effort, and satisfaction of delay were statistically significant. Tukey discovered that Generation X gained higher scores in the leisure generation than in the baby-boom generation, whereas the Millennial generation recorded higher scores in all three dimensions than the baby boomers. These results show that there are more similarities in the occupational ethical aspects of these three generations of nurses.
