About National Student Council

Since 1931, the National Student Council (NatStuCo) has aimed to help all student councils become more effective organizations. NatStuCo is representative of secondary schools and high school committees throughout the country. It is designed to provide valuable leadership relationships between students and the school. It creates opportunities for students to become effective leaders, thereby encouraging and influencing the atmosphere of good schools.

NatStuCo is the National Association of Middle School Principals Association (NASSP) project of the NASSP Country Office located in Reston, Virginia.

Student's Voice - Spread the student council's voice as all students and give each student the opportunity to listen.

Participate - encourage students to participate in leadership and decision-making in schools and communities

NatStuCo will promote and provide opportunities for leadership development to support student leaders to serve schools and communities

The Student Council plays a vital role in maintaining the knowledge and practice of the democratic process.

Leadership development programs are essential to maximize the potential of developing leaders.

Provide resources and support to Board members and consultants at all stages of the Student Council activities

Support all student councils to become more effective organization in schools, communities, states, and countries

Student unions can participate in larger organizations within the United States or participate in the National Student Council. In Canada, the Canadian Student Leadership Association coordinates the setting throughout the country, and in the UK, an organization called Inverber provides training, support and coordination for the National Student Council. In Germany, each class voted for class speaker (Klassensprecher) and secondary class speaker (Stellv.Klassensprecher). All classes Classespeaker and Vice Classspeaker constitute the Student Council (SV). In most states in Germany, student councils are voted together for student athletes or school athletes. In some other states in Germany, all students vote for student athletes.

Compulsory Education Schools and high schools have two national cooperative organizations, the Swedish Student Council Association (Svea) and the Swedish National Student Council Association (Seco) 5. Seco also organizes student unions. At the national level, these student organizations are committed to influencing public opinion, and at the local level, they are working with unions to develop a range of training materials and moving support activities. In the early 1990s and 2000, students were organized in the form of student councils in most cases, but the number of student councils has increased dramatically in recent years.

Since 1998, the council after school has been growing in Ireland. In 2008, the Ireland Secondary League Association was established as a national union organization, organized and coordinated the nationwide coalition union movement. The alliance is also a member of OBESSU. According to Article 27 of the Education Act 1998, it is recommended that schools and staff support the establishment of student unions. The Israeli National Student Youth Council (Hebrew: since 1993) is an election group representing all young Israelis. Representatives were elected democratically from the Regional Youth Council. (Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Center, Haifa, Arab Sector, South and North). The committee consists of young people in various fields of religion, secular, Jewish, Arab, Deleuze, Bedouin.
