About Earth Science Week

Since October 1998 the American Earth Sciences Institute has organized this national and international event to help citizens better understand and appreciate earth science and encourage planetary management. This year's Earth Science Week will be held from October 14th to 20th, 2018, celebrating the theme "Inspiration as Earth". Next year's event highlights the artistic expression as a unique and powerful opportunity for earth science education and understanding in the 21st century.

Learning resources and activities at Earth Resources Week 2018 will attract young people and other people and explore the relationship between art and the earth system. Next year's theme will promote understanding and management of the citizens of the planet, especially in the fields of art and earth science principles and energy, climate change, environment, natural disasters, technology, industry, agriculture, entertainment and other issues . AGI accepts more than 50 million people each year and works with its sponsors and the Earth science community to guide Earth Science Week to the world. Every October, community groups, educators, and interested citizens hold a celebration. Earth Science Week will provide opportunities to discover earth science and participate in responsible earth management. Details of this year's event will be announced within the next few months.

The Earth Science Week website maintains a list of groups of Earth Science World Networks and a list of events of the state's Earth Science Week. These activities are sponsored by member associations, state geological surveys, universities, public and private schools, museums, parks and other organizations and companies interested in earth science. The Earth Science Week Kit contains AGI's traditional event posters and academic calendars, showing important schedule of earth science, classroom survey, and earth science events. It also includes bookmarks and events from posters, leaflets, electronic discs, AGI and its member associations and sponsors. This kit is distributed to State Geological Survey, a sponsor of Earth Science Week, which you can purchase from the ESW website.

In 2017, the Earth Science Week was held with the theme of "Earth and Human Activity" from 8th to 14th October. Earth science weekly sponsored by the American Geoscience Institute (AGI) has a special focus. Every day, NESTA emphasizes the collection of important materials and materials.
