A Time of Change in America

America experienced a revolution between 1865 and 1914. In recent years, three different eras are important: reconstruction, gold medal era and progressive era. During these three periods the whole country has changed economically, politically, and socially. After the end of the Civil War, white people in the south felt pain and indignation. They did their best to bring blacks as closely as possible to slavery. Congress established the Friedman Committee and passed amendments to Articles 14 and 15, but the South found a way to prevent blacks from acquiring social and economic equality.

Some people say that the 1960s is an era of American turmoil, what happened in America in the 1960s is a revolution. In the 1960s, various religious movements were born in the religion of America, eastern religion, New Age religion (many of which formed community), anti-war protest, riot, political turmoil. For a while, Christians who believe in many Bibles for a while hope that Jesus will come back soon), some hippies and young dissatisfied people begin to read the Bible. As a result, a resurrection movement called "Jesus' popular movement" was born. Henry thought that movement was very important, so he dedicated the whole chapter to a series of gods, revelations and authority over six chapters. According to Henry

Progressive movement began to appear in the late 1800's. This is the time of the reform of the United States, it is the time of reform. The main beliefs of progressive people are social cohesion, organization and efficiency, and antitrust (Brinkley 629). They feel that society can surely be improved. Their main goal is to receive government support and make them more even. During this time, the president such as Theodore Roosevelt attempted to regulate and control large companies. In many respects progressive exercise has been successful, but it is nothing else.

The behavior of our town happened at the turn of the 20th century. A big social change occurred in the United States. By this time, the industrial revolution which changes the working environment of the United States forever is progressing smoothly. Despite mentioning advances in technologies like cars, life in the corner of Grover is relatively unaffected by dramatic changes that have spread to most parts of the country. Most of the people in the town lived like most of the predecessors of the 19th century; they were milk workers, newspaper editors, doctors and farmers. In this sense, the corner of Grover represents the declining lifestyle of America; the drama freezes this simpler time and saves it for future generations.
