This book is a revised version of "Justice Theory" published by Harvard University Press in 1971.
Since publication in 1971, the "justice theory" has been translated into 23 languages. Since 1975, the translation of the original text of English is included in the translation. All of these revisions are included in this new English version. These are considered to be greatly improved, especially for free and primary products. In the revised version of the revised edition, the revised edition is explained in detail.
Since its introduction in 1971, John Rawls's "justice theory" has become classical. The author has modified the original to eliminate some difficulties encountered by him and others in the original book. Rawls's purpose is to express an important part of the common core of democratic tradition - justice as justice - to provide an alternative to utilitarianism which has dominated Anglo-Saxon's political and ideological tradition since the 19th century is. Rawl replaced the ideal of social contract with a more satisfying interpretation of citizen's basic rights and freedom as freedom and equality. Mr. Rawls wrote, "Even if we can not go beyond the welfare of everyone, we have an invincible sense based on justice," he wrote. That theory is as powerful as it was first announced.
The result of the ongoing revision process is an important element of Rawls composition style. Critics often comment on the "justice theory" as a representative of Roles' ongoing philosophical theory process, which has lasted for about 40 years. The "Justice theory" first published in 1971 is mainly composed mainly of revised articles previously published in academic journals by Rawls, some of which dates back to 1958. Therefore, people observed development and improvement of his ideas during 1958. -1971 can be tracked in the text of the book. In addition, Rolls made a major revision of "Justice theory" ready to translate it to other languages in 1975; however, these modifications were not included in the English version of the text until 1999 did. Rolls pointed out that "the translated version was better than the original version" until the 1999 version.
