Philip Caputo's "Rumors of War" is about interesting stories about people's reflections and the Vietnam War. I thought this book was very interesting. I chose it. Because I know little about the Vietnam War and I think it is very educational for me. I chose it because it was actually written by the people of war. Philip Caputo began his story after he graduated from high school to deal with his life. After deciding to enter the Marine Corps, he explained about his college career, Marine Corps training, war service, and finally his house, after his murder trial was rejected. Caputo talks about his story from the point of view, but during that time media resources can not cover it. In fact, Caputo is waiting for attacks and exercises against Vietcong on the battlefield. He talks about his niece and alcohol on blood and death.
