Personal experience on learning bipolar disorder My daughter Ashley is an attractive, highly intelligent, beautiful, artistically talented teenager with life-threatening genetic diseases. It is an extreme illness, and some are estimated to be up to 20% mortality. Sometimes, like my daughter, it is difficult to treat. People who suffer so much and their families are always difficult. The modern nomenclature for this disease is bipolar disease (1). But I prefer manic depression, which is more descriptive, no longer a politically correct name.
Bipolar disorder is a mood disorder that was formerly known as "bipolar depression". People with bipolar disorder experience episodes of mania (excitement) and depression. That person may or may not experience symptoms of psychosis. The exact cause is unknown, but genetic susceptibility is clearly established. Environmental stress factors can also cause the onset of this mental disorder. Depression is a mood disorder characterized by reduced mood, loss of interest and pleasure, and loss of energy. This is not mere sorrow. There are various types and symptoms of depression. The degree of severity and symptoms associated with depression varies. Symptoms of depression may increase the risk of suicidal ideation and behavior
Bipolar type I disorder: When a person has at least one manic episode, it gives biphasic type I disorder. People with bipolar disorder may only experience episodes of mania, but usually include episodes of depression and hypomania. Mild mania includes the same manic symptoms, but the duration is short and the severity is low. They do not contain psychotic symptoms or do not need hospitalization. Dysthymic circulatory disorder: Also known as circadian circulation, this disease includes episodes of mild mania and periodic depressive symptoms. Emotional changes are not as extreme as bipolar I and bipolar II diseases, but they may cause serious problems in their lives and may subsequently manifest symptoms of mania, paralysis and depression.
