It is always fun to meet new people. The response when people first hear the word parkour is usually the same. Confusion, surprise, and fear. As a coach in Parkour's growing field, you tend to expect these reactions. In general, people do not know what Parkour is, but for those who do the most common follow-up questions "Are you jumping off the building?" Unfortunately, no, but Parkour has a fundamental problem. Parkour is a distorted view, but in fact it is a very safe and progressive field that can be very satisfying.
We need to maintain flexibility. The system of the company is embedded (becomes stricter with the passage of time). Yes, even the "Agile" approach! This is evolution needed for any big body. As we grow older like the human body, our structure becomes stronger and stronger. Our bones are not always flexible and flexible - they do not make sense when they grow up. However, the bones need to be cured to support large structures. Smaller businesses will always be more flexible and sensitive as smaller creatures do not have to set bones strongly. In order to compete, it is necessary for consultants and agents to develop around these collection structures / processes at all times, so that the plasticity of the organization is sufficient to expand, move and respond to market, competitors and other changes there is.
Scrum, Kanban, and other agile methods help organizations become more agile. But eventually, as the organizational limit was reached, these efforts stalled and even stalled. The problem is not the people and their skills, but the cultural heritage that strengthens structure, practice, policies and even old ideas and patterns. If they are the same, agility is still limited. Agile's goal is to "find a better way of software development", that is the case. Today it is successfully applied to other areas where people work together to achieve their goals and elsewhere. But due to its origins, it is still seen as the latest tool we can use to successfully run IT projects. The declaration and its practice lack the words we urgently need.
