Lesson before Death In my last book review I read the novel "Pre-Death Course" written by Ernest J. Gaines. This book occurred in the 1940s after the Great Depression. In the beginning of this book, I will explain the society suffering from poverty. The atmosphere in Chapter 1 will lead us to think about how justice can win in the society the population dominates. If this story happens in the present age, I think that this problem is not as important as in the 1940s. Grant Wiggins, one of the main character, is a teacher at elementary school, and Grant is very young. Probably he only knows apartheid and racial discrimination.

Indeed, many lessons were learned in the novel 'before dying lesson', and they are learned by many different people. Along with the gradual changes underlined by Jefferson, Grant Wiggins, and surrogate Paul, many characters in the story evolved and the story gradually expanded. These courses confirm themselves with the words and actions of all the characters in the novels; however, they are what Grant most learned. Through interaction with Jefferson and its immediate community, Grant was able to unintentionally deepen her understanding of more than skilled people.

Ernest Gains tells the story of a man named Grant Wiggins in his novel "Lesson before Death". He explained the tragic events that led to Jefferson 's premature death, but the fight against Grant Wiggins' life is still at the heart of the story. In his efforts to make Jefferson "person", he himself got even better. Jefferson experienced the era of life changing in this story, but one might think the overall theme is actually about Grant Wiggins.

Vivian Baptiste is a beautiful girlfriend of Grant in 'Lessons before death'. Vivian is also a teacher and a faithful Catholic. Even though these visits affect their relationship, she encourages and supports Grant to visit Jefferson. Vivian is still married but divorces her two children and is about to keep custody. She is Murato, but I do not agree with her family prejudice against Black Black. Despite Tante Lou's doubt, Vivian has a positive influence on Grant and they love each other very much.
